Turmeric & Ginger Tea

Really not feeling on form today. You know the feeling right ? You have the symptoms and signs of a cold or flu coming on, you feel a bit unsure of how much you can push yourself before you start taking medication. Well, I say drink this tea first. Because our two guru healers here … T&G  (Turmeric and Ginger) have anti-inlammotry and detoxifying properties. They are you first line of defence against those nasty germs and it does give you some relief.



1 Tablespoon of honey (If only I could find Manuka Honey easily in Paris!)

1 Teaspoon of minced ginger (Or cut small amount into small pieces).

1 Teaspoon of turmeric powder (If using fresh turmeric careful it will stain! grate or cut small amount)

2 Cup of hot water



Step1. In a sauce pan add water combine the roots and bring to the boil.

Step2. Let it simmer for 5 min and pour into cup. Add honey and drink!


Tip: You can add fresh lemon or a slice of lemon. I have heard people add milk (cow or almond) instead of water. You can strain the tea or leave it all in. I like to get a surprise when I bite into a root and get intense flavour.
