Le Tricycle
100% vegan organic restaurant / takeaway eatery that I recommend with both thumps up! A very vibrant and happy small restaurant in the 10th arrondissement of Paris.

As soon as you enter, you can feel the positive energy. Is it because of the soothing reggae music? Is it the team who welcome you with the biggest smile and a Bonjour / Hello. Is it the fresh fruit and vegetables stacks that sit in the entrance that tell you your food will be wholesome and taste as nature intended? Or is is the clever mix of vegetables, rice and pulses?
The young Carolie Jouhier and Daqui Gomis started out as humble but inventive vegetarian hot dog stand on a tricycle (hence the name I imagine). They turn their peddling power into a successful vegan food heaven on 51 rue de Paradis. They do not stop at food they have also there own fashion brand. Check out their website www.letricycle.fr , Facebook and Instagram.

So when my sister in law WhatsApp me to say she fancies eating a vegetarian lunch, we both knew where to go. I am happy to say nothing disappointed me and I am most definitively going again. The atmosphere is cheerful and friendly. The staff talk to you and explain not only the menu (in English as well as French) but they tell you fun facts and stories too. Word of warning it gets busy quickly, the seating is comfy but small. There are art pieces on the wall which you can enjoy as you tap your feet to the music. Free wifi and electrical plugs are found to charge your iPhone / laptop.
I tried one of their famous hot dogs Dogtor Dre, a hot dog with guacamole, fresh coriander and fried onions, it was really nice. I also had one of their vegetarian bowls, surprisingly filling and so darn delicious. A mixed juice of ginger and apple helped to wash this yummy food down.
There are a handful of good vegetarian restaurants in Paris. This is one of them. You must check out this funky cool urban eatery, you will consider adding more vegetable mix into your diet and come out smiling.
